File upload issue

Published on by

Hello,

We are trying to upload a zip file (file size:  5Mb) but the platform won't allow us to upload the document.

Is there any file format or file size restriction?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Cheers,

Martin

  1. Hi Marina,

My colleague just updated me and told me it contains .html and .jar files in the ZIP file.

    1. Hi Martin,

Thanks for letting us know :)

due to potential security risks we do not support the upload of those file types. Since they are usually scanned when uploaded to ensure they do not contain any potentially executable maleware which is usually the risk.

Here to help if you need anything else,

      Cheers,

      Marina

      1. Hi Martin,

We tested the following file extensions -.html .jar .php .json .dll and it is possible for them to be uploaded as a ZIP file. Preview will not be available but it is possible for other members to download the full archive.

Please let me know if you managed to upload and if you need anything else don't hesitate to contact us,

        Thanks,

        Marina

      2. Hi Marina,

Thanks for letting us know we will try to find a workaround.

As we are on-boarding some technical (developer) in our community, this use case will show up frequently.

Do you think this is something you guys can add an exception (i can provide file extensions) for our instance of the platform or turn off completely?

        Cheers,

        Martin
